Blue Steel Scrap
This grade conforms to ISRI 229/230/231/232/234 and includes cut pieces generated
from fabrication units; cut pieces of new D-Bars from cut & bend units and cut
pieces of other items like Billets, Bloom, structural steel, plates, stampings,
forgings, etc.
It arises only from steel industries and/or fabricators or construction sites. All
these material should be un-used and must be in the colour of freshly produced
steel. Some quantity with light atmospheric surface rust is permissible. Acceptable
size of this material is 1.5 mtr X 1.0 mtr, thickness will be minimum of 6mm and
above.
Minimum weight of the container will be 25 tons. In international parlance, this is
also known as “NEW PRODUCTION SCRAP” OR “BONUS GRADE SCRAP”. Minimum cargo mass of a
20 feet container will be 25 tons.
